The Journey

A couple of days ago, a friend shared with me how much she hated mirrors and reflections. For years she was so disgusted in her self that she avoided looking in mirrors and anything that could reflect her face. You can imagine how difficult it is. She was so full of hatred for her hair, her smile, her voice she was sick of everything about her. Ibukun was able to share this with me because few years back, she started a journey and is getting really close to her destination already. This is the journey of self-love. If you had asked me before if I loved myself, I will always reply saying yes. Even though sometimes, when I'm in bed I become depressed, consciously tormenting myself with thoughts like "I'm not good enough" "I cannot achieve this thing" "I don't like this and that" among other things. Anyway, thank God its Friday! hope we enjoyed and still enjoying it? It is not just the end of the week, we are gradually stepping out of July into the month of August. It's Good news yea! It means that we got our salaries already or we getting it soon. It also means that we are getting closer to achieving our dreams. #NigerianRecipe - Ishapa Soup

We have so many unique dishes majority have not bothered to learn about. There are other dishes that exist aside rice, spaghetti and other delicacy which we eat often. Today, we will be learning about the soup called ISHAPA. Ishapa is a traditional yoruba recipe popularly made by Ekiti State indigines. The soup is made from Roselle leaves. It is basically, egusi with white zobo sepals. This special delicacy is best enjoyed with solid meal such as eba, pounced yam, fufu etc.       RECIPE FOR ISHAPA SOUP Grounded Egusi White Zobo Sepals (Dry Ishapa) Dry Fish Cow Skin (Kpomo) Shaki cut into bite sizes Cray Fish Seasoning Cubes Locust Beans Onion Tomatoes Scotch Bonnet Peppers(Ata Rodo) Palm oil Water Salt Read Also: Nigeria Recipe- Abula      PROCEDURE _ Wash, season and boil the assorted meat in a pot _ Blend your egusi with onion and set aside _ Blend and boil half of your onion, pepper, tomatoes, till excess water dries and set  aside _

Hi! We hope you are having a great Wednesday. It's woman crush Wednesday!! Today is dedicated to a top OAP in Nigeria , actress , TV/Radio Presenter, social media content creator and writer. She is Tosyn Bucknor. The 36-year old lady, was born in Lagos to Mr Segun Bucknor, a legendary musician and Mrs Sola Bucknor, in a taxi. She grew up writing plays, stories, songs and so much more. She attended Fountain Nursery and Primary School and Queens' College, Yaba Lagos. Tosyn didn’t have the all-rosy growing up years as she had to battle with living with sickle-cell. She had her bachelors degree at the University of Lagos where she read Law. She did her National Youth Service Corps at Port Harcourt, opting to teach Literature-In-English and English. After she successfully completed her youth service , Tosyn decided to follow her passion in writing, talking, acting, singing. Since her youth service in 2009, she has been a morning show radio host at Top Radio90.9fm.

  Modern brogues originated in Ireland and Scotland. It started, as latchet shoes made as turn shoes and are sometimes labeled with low heels. They are favoured by the Scottish and Irish mercenary.
